I Vant to Suck Your Blood!

3 of Shane's co-workers announced to him that their employee numbers had come up so it was their time to donate blood. Shane was intrigued to find out there was such a program at his work. In the US he gave as often as he could and he had time for. So, he told them it was good for them to give and expected them to head off the the bloodmobile, give blood, drink some orange juice, get a sticker and be back for the meeting in the afternoon. Then he was shocked they get 3 days off for donating! He then had so many questions for them like -
How much are they taking? 2 Liters? (no one knew)
How often do you get to donate? (because he was now getting worried since he used to give every 2 months and if all of his people got an extra 3 days off every 2 months, not much was going to get done) They said about every 10 years (yes, years!) No wonder there is a blood shortage here!
When Shane told them in the US we give many times in 1 year, they just told him that Chinese people are not as strong as Americans. (this is from people who at 80 years old can bike across the city with 20 wicker chairs on the back of their bike in 120 degree heat!) Please! None of this made much sense, SO if any of you reading this have any insight into this, please let us know!
